We all have a dark side and there are times in our lives when we have to do what is called shadow work.
We have to delve into the darkness of our souls and look at the areas where we might not always think or act up to our expectations and try to work through those issues.
The shadow work is the unconscious aspect of our personality where suppressed memories and emotions go to hide, burying themselves deep within your psyche.
For us to self actualise, it is important for us to engage with our shadow selves at various times during our journey in order to address our self limiting beliefs, bad habits and painful, suppressed memories.
Our shadow selves will reveal themselves some way or another at different times in our lives. The more we do the work, engage with it and become aware of our dark side the more openness and authenticity we can bring to our present moment. And that can only be a good thing.
